Hi,
I am new to your site and Mystery Shopping. I actually did my first job today, everything went really well but then I forgot to ask for a receipt (was a fast food job). What should I do? I haven't submitted my results yet because I haven't got a receipt and don't know what will happen if I don't submit one.
Please help!

Hi Emma,

Welcome to Ozzieshopper.

Don't worry too much about not having a receipt, although it is generally required with most fast food assignments, the company involved will make an allowance if you genuinely forgot to ask for a receipt or one was not provided for whatever reason/s.

Just submit your results within the allocated time frame and in the section where it asks if you obtained a receipt mark the answer as "no" there will possibly be a list where you can mark the reason why you didn't obtain a receipt.

Finish the report and submit the results. You may receive a follow-up phone call to confirm why you didn't obtain the receipt, as long as all the other details match up (ie; CSR's name etc) it's generally no big drama.

Make it a point to remember to ask for a receipt in the future, along with the CSR's name, general description and time.

Hi,

I just wanted to let you know that I followed your advice and submitted the results with a reason why I didn't get a receipt. The company rang me yesterday to confirm and said it was ok because it was my first job and sometimes it's not always easy to remember everything on the first few assignments.

The person also said my report was excellent so that made me feel really good!
