I have  been an active Mystery Shopper for over 2 years and have completed numerous assignments  for many of the Australian and International Companies listed in the database and I have  never experienced any problems with any of these companies. They pay on time, every  time. I am also easily contactable via email if you ever have a question or general enquiry  or by phone if you have an urgent enquiry. HOW MUCH CAN I MAKE BEING A MYSTERY SHOPPER?

 With most companies you are not classed as an employee, instead you are an independent  contractor or supplier. There are no standard fees as reimbursement will vary depending on  the complexity of the evaluation. You can make anywhere from $10 to $50 (or more) per  hour, plus you may also get other items free including fuel or meals, clothing and  entertainment, just to name a few of the benefits. As an independent contractor, you can  always accept or decline an assignment, the choice is totally yours to make on how much  of the available work in your area you wish to do, so you can do as little or as much as you  feel you can handle at any given time.



HOW MANY HOURS CAN I EXPECT TO RECEIVE?

 The amount of hours you will receive is based on several factors such as the amount of  work available in your area, the number of shoppers working in your area and sometimes  your past experience on Mystery Shopping assignments. You can work your own hours and  you may also work for as many companies as you wish.  HOW DO I SIGN UP WITH THE COMPANIES IN YOUR DATABASE AND WILL I
 BE CHARGED ANOTHER FEE TO JOIN THEM?


 Signing up is a relatively easy process. Most companies have sign up or registration areas  on their website, some do not and require you to send an enquiry via email or by mail.  Whatever the case may be, to ensure you receive a reply to your enquiry or a confirmation  email containing an activation link, make sure you add the companies email address to  your safe/white list/address book in your email account or if you have mailed your  application or enquiry be sure to enter your information as neatly as you can. Whichever  method is used to register with a company the important thing is to be as accurate and  honest as you can about the information you send to them. The companies listed in the  database are free to join, although there may be a select few who will charge a minor  nominal fee for initial administrative services or job specific training, these companies are  very few and it's your choice if you want to sign up with them.



WHY DO YOU CHARGE A FEE?

 OZZIESHOPPER is independently owned and operated, a small fee is charged for access to  the database of companies which are updated on a regular basis. OZZIESHOPPER has  saved members alot of time by not having to search the Internet or phone directories and  the like, by having all of these companies listed in one online database. The one-time fee  also helps maintain the website so that OZZIESHOPPER is able to continue offering this  valuable service to people like yourself, who are interested in becoming a Mystery Shopper  or participating in Online Surveys.



 WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE TO COMPLETE AN ASSIGNMENT AND HOW LONG
 WILL I HAVE TO REPORT THE RESULTS?

 After you select and accept an assignment, you will then receive a brief containing all the  required information on what the assignment involves and how long you have to complete  it. You will then complete the assessment or audit as outlined in the brief by either an  onsite assessment, telephone, email or fax assessment. Most companies now have the  technology on their websites so you can enter your results and submit them online. Some  assignments require you to submit your results within 48 hours of completing the  assessment, but most require you to submit the results on the same day you completed  the assignment whilst the details are still fresh in your mind.



 HOW DO I LEARN TO BE A MYSTERY SHOPPER AND IS THERE ANY TRAINING
 AVAILABLE?

 Most companies have online training programs for you to complete before you can accept  and complete your first assignment. The training usually doesn't take very long to  complete and can be very beneficial to you by giving you an understanding of what is  involved in conducting assessments and also what is required and expected from you as
 an auditor/assessor. I have also inculded a resource area in the members area and I have  added a Forum to the website where members can communicate and share experiences,  tips and advice with other members.



HOW WILL I GET PAID FOR THE WORK THAT I DO FOR THESE COMPANIES?

 Each company that you sign up with has their own payroll system, most companies pay  monthly, some pay within 7 to 14 days after submitting your report, any reimbursements  or qualifying expenses incurred will be included in the payment. Most companies give you  the choice of having the money deposited directly into your bank account or you can have  the payment sent by a check in the mail, (there is usually a small processing fee  associated with this payment method. (Typical fee approx $1.00) a select few offer PayPal  as a method to receive your payment.



HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE BEFORE I CAN START WORK?

 Once you sign up with the companies, most of them will allow you to start immediately,  others will require you to complete some brief form of training before you can accept your  first assignment, however, you may have to wait a little while if your specific area doesn't  have a high volume of work available, but there should generally be something available in  or just outside of your area which will keep you going until more work is available, you are  not limited to the work available in your own area only, most companies will let you choose  assignments outside of your normal area particularly if you travel to another area  frequently.



CAN I REFUSE OR DECLINE AN ASSIGNMENT?

 Yes, you can refuse or decline an assignment. You are not obligated to accept any  assignments if they do not interest you or if your schedule doesn't allow for an assignment  at a specific time or place, as an independent contractor you can accept or decline  whatever assignments you choose. However, once you accept an assignment you are  expected to carry through with the assessment, if for some reason you are unable to  complete an assignment that you have agreed to do, contact the company immediately so  they can either reschedule the day or time or assign the job to another shopper.



WHAT QUALITIES ARE REQUIRED TO BECOME AN AUDITOR/ASSESSOR?

 Quality reporting is very important to these companies. To insure quality, they are seeking  auditors with the following skills and attributes:


 *   An ability to make discrete and objective observations without being judgemental.

 *   The ability to follow instructions and accurately conduct evaluations.

 *   The ability to meet commitments and deadlines.

 *   The ability to report the information from the evaluations effectively and efficiently.

 *   Possess a reliable and responsible attitude.

 *   Are readily contactable by telephone.

 *   Auditors/Assessors are generally required to be 18 years or older to qualify.



WHAT RESOURCES ARE REQUIRED TO BE AN AUDITOR/ASSESSOR?

 *   Regular access to the Internet is essential. The majority of these companies utilise        advanced online operational systems to distribute work and accept results. All your        shopping transactions/needs will be conducted via these web sites.

 *    An active e-mail account. The majority of communication between these companies
       and you occurs via email.

 *    Access to transportation for travel to locations requiring assessment.

 *    Access to fax or computer scanner to send copies of receipts and completed shopper        evaluation forms as required for audit purposes.

 *    A bank account that can accept EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) payments - so that you        can be paid, some companies will pay you by check/cheque if you prefer but there is        usually a small processing fee associated with this payment method. (Typical fee
       approx $1.00)
